We had some good training on Friday afternoon with 17 of the TSG group in a lovely warm 16 - 18 knots. Saturday and Sunday were around 50 knots with the mistral blowing through, which meant we didn’t get on the water. Yesterday we got on the water for the practise race starting in about 19 knots gusting mid 20swhich built during the afternoon. It was pretty wavy, but HB and Emily Hall did really well on the 6.8 course and Luke Patrick did well on the 7.8 course.

Today the mistral is really blowing again, so we’re waiting for the race committee to make a decision around 3ish.

Tomorrow looks lighter, hopefully we’ll get some racing in then.

More wind today, several sails came off the water after the practice race rather the worse for wear! The opening ceremony was good fun and there are >400 competitors, an early start tomorrow! fingers crossed that the wind gods are reasonable!

Registration and Measuring today, we hope that the wind will die down so that the practice race happens tomorrow. Everyone is keen to get started……
